The Big Happy Bash!

Dust off that tuxedo! Or that threadbare sport coat and faded jeans! Or your well-worn playing jersey! The annual Chicago Griffins Gala and Awards Banquet is coming your way!

Save the date – Feb 28, 2026 at the historic Copernicus Center in Chicago.  There’ll be music, great food, awards and appearances by Griffins young and old.  

The menu will be pulled pork and brisket sandwiches, salads and vegetarian options, all provided by Smoque BBQ. 

This is the social event of the year!  Don’t miss it!  Dress up. Dress down (shirt and shoes required).  Prepare to meet and greet your teammates from the past and the present.  Share stories from the ancient circle of truth rites, the Scrum Dogs, the Glory Hounds, and the secret sacred beer ceremonies!  Be prepared for laughs and hearty handshakes all around.

Everyone is welcome to attend, including but not limited to in-laws, distant relatives and even frenemies.  Get your tickets now, don’t hesitate as there is always the possibility this event could sell out. 

The event will again take place in the Copernicus Center’s Annex at 5216 W. Lawrence Ave. with easy access and parking. The annex entrance is on Lawrence just east of the center’s main entrance.  Doors open from 7p.m. to 11 p.m.
