Annual Berghoff Holiday Meetup 2025

Happy Holidays to all Griffins and their family and friends. It has been another wild rugby season with the Griffins again making it to the Midwest semifinals. The club wishes to thank the officers and coaches who have worked hard to make the team a national name in U.S.A. rugby.

The holiday season means the traditional meetup of Griffins young and old will again take place at the Berghoff on Thursday, Dec. 11.  Mike "Big Mac" McCormick and Terry "TC" Connors have set the date and time for the fiesta. 

"Kickoff is 4:30 p.m.," said TC, adding jokingly, "The real heroes will be there at 11:30 a.m. when the Berghoff opens."

The get-togethers have featured such luminaries as Head Coach Drew Suniula, Assistant Coach Paddy Ryan, Morgan Nichols, Sam Sansone, John McGrath, ToddKelly, Jay Rizzo, Charlie Byrne, Tim McLaughlin, Brendan Brown, Bob Skoronski, Angelo Manlapaz and many others.

It's a great time to meet and greet old friends, remember tall tales of rugby glory and raise a toast to the club.

The Berghoff is located at 17 W. Adams St., in Chicago's Loop. Family, friendsand fans are invited to participate in the festivities.
